What is landrover santana?

Landrover Santana is a Spanish-built version of the British Land Rover. Between 1958 and 1983, the company was known as the Land Rover Santana Motor SA, and after that, the Santana Motor SA designations were dropped and the brand was simply named Land Rover, but still made in Spain.

The first Santana model was the Series III Land Rover, which was initially launched in 1973. Over the years, Santana produced various models of Land Rovers, including the Santana III, Land Rover 90 and 110, Land Rover Defender and the Land Rover Discovery.

These vehicles were designed to be rugged, reliable, and capable of driving off-road. They had a strong chassis, all-wheel drive and high ground clearance, which made them popular among farmers, emergency services, military and outdoor enthusiasts. However, compared to their British counterparts, Santana’s Land Rovers had unique engineering solutions that sometimes resulted in durability and reliability issues.

In 1994, the joint venture between Land Rover and Santana came to an end, and the company began operating independently. Santana continued to produce Land Rover vehicles until it was acquired by Iveco in 2011.
